Classification of Food



The Classification of food on the basis of perishability are:
  • Perishable Food: can not be stored for more than one or two days at room temperature like milk, fruit, vegetables, eggs and others. 
  • Semi-Perishable Food: can be kepet for a couple of week or even a month or two like oil, potatoes some spices, onions and others.

  • Non-Perishable food: can be stored for much longer time, for severed months for examples: cereals, dry fruits, spices, oil, salt, tea, sugar and others.
